The Shogun's law is strict and forbids you from reorganizing your cards. Seize the crucial opportunities and send your emissaries to the imperial court in order to place your cards as efficiently as possible and thus control the most prestigious land in all of Japan.

- Develop your territory with cards from the "River", arranging your cards in the same relative position in your Hand or Line.
- You can never freely reorganize your cards, either in your hand or in your tableau.
- Place Ninja, Ronin, Torii, Rice Fields and the elusive Naishi to create the highest scoring Imperial Court in Japan.
- Send your emissaries to the imperial court to swap card positions or force an exchange with your opponent.
- Points are scored by each character's unique scoring ability and their position in your tableau.
